The Epson Inkjet Photo L805 Low Run Cost Photo Printer is a dedicated, single-function wireless printer engineered specifically for photographers, design studios, and hobbyists demanding lab-quality color prints at an incredibly low operating cost.Utilizing a specialized 6-color dye-based ink tank system (incorporating Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Light Cyan, and Light Magenta), this machine expands the printable color gamut to deliver smooth gradations, rich tones, and an impressive print resolution of up to $5,760 \times 1,440\text{ dpi}$.By shifting away from standard ink cartridges to high-capacity $70\text{ ml}$ ink bottles, the L805 can churn out up to 1,800 borderless 4R ($4 \times 6\text{ inch}$) photos right out of the box, drastically dropping the cost per print to a fraction of traditional photo labs. Performance is driven by Epson’s precision Micro Piezo printhead technology, capable of pumping out draft A4 documents at speeds up to 37–38 ppm and finalizing a borderless 4R photo in as little as 12 seconds.
