Positioned directly inside the primary paper cassette tray, this roller is responsible for executing the first critical stage of the media-handling cycle: using friction to grip the top sheet of paper from the stack and cleanly launch it into the internal registration and imaging path.
Structurally, the component consists of a high-traction, textured rubber sleeve wrapped around a rigid, molded plastic core featuring integrated drive tabs.
