The Epson Printer Motherboard (also referred to as the main logic board or PCA) functions as the central nervous system for a widespread family of Epson EcoTank and L-series single-function and multifunction printers, including the L100, L110, L130, L200, L201, L210, L220, L300, and L310. This printed circuit board (PCB) hosts the primary microprocessor, firmware chip, motor drivers, and specialized power ICs (such as the E09A72 or E09A88 series) required to orchestrate the entire printing process. It processes data received from a computer or mobile device via USB, translating digital print jobs into high-voltage electrical pulses that control the paper feed roller motors, the carriage movement, and the firing of the printhead's piezoelectric nozzles. The motherboard also continuously monitors vital signals from sensor arrays, including ink level status, paper jam detectors, and home-position switches.
